Celebrities in this country

Why do celebrities in this country always have to try and be the saviors for us all and think that they have all the answers to everything. Like jane fonda or bono from u2 with all of their BS about how they are gonna save the whole world.
That is not the worst part though. There is an over abundance of weak minded follow the herd wherever it goes and do what feels good people in this country. These are the ones that fuel the fire of these celebrities and drive this country and the whole world ever closer to the end as described in the bible.

What would you prefer to see Jane Fonda and Bono advocating instead?

I would prefer that they do their job which is act or sing and not act like they have all the answers just because they have a captive audience to listen to their rhetoric. Go to a u2 concert and get a nice lecture on politics and how bono is the smartest person in the world and everyone should follow his lead.

you guys do have to consider though how people like this are such role models, that they have more power than politicians to take an active stand against something they believe in.

For example, a dude like 50 Cent is looked up to by so many people, especially in the projects of america. People see a person that is just like them, a guy from the projects, a drug dealer, someone they can relate to. He made it out of the projects and is a person whom people take notice to. His message is extremely negative and young black youth follow his message as gospel to the point where they commit senseless crimes and violence. My point is, actors and entertainers can do good things if they choose to do so, because people look up to them. Their voice is much louder than just a dude with a suit on sitting atop capital hill.

I was reading an article about a conscious rapper named Saigon the other day. He's very intelligent and blames his own race(african american) for much of their problems that have oppressed themselves since the abolition of slavery. Saigon says, Corporate white america loves 50 Cent because not only is he making them money, but the ones that are racist really love him because hes such a poison to the ghettos of america. His negative messages are the same as crack being placed in the slums or an AIDS epidemic in Africa. His word is literally killing people because people can glorify his actions as a result of idolizing him. In turn, people rationalize his word and act though that rationalization.
